Leveraging superb writing skills and 15 years of executive-level branding and media relations experience, Stephen thrives on tailoring communications campaigns to meet the specific business focus of each CAROUSE client. As President and founder of CAROUSE, he has led several award-winning marketing communications campaigns, and offers specialized knowledge in a wide array of sectors including energy conservation, B2B enterprise technology and consumer-focused online branding initiatives. Stephen oversees the quality and execution of all CAROUSE client programs and leads the agency’s media coaching, brand messaging and issues management function.
Stephen started his career at a multinational PR firm, Cohn & Wolfe, before co-founding MAVERICK PR where he was SVP client services. Eventually he followed his entrepreneurial urge to create CAROUSE Communications, where he has conducted branding and marketing programs for dozens of organizations during his career, including TD Bank, Symantec, Deloitte, ING DIRECT, Mabel’s Labels, BBDO Proximity Canada, Save on Energy, gShift Labs, and Juniper Networks. He lives in Roncesvalles Village in Toronto with his wife, author Carolyn Abraham and two children. He serves as a board member of the High Park Little League, where he is also coach.
